PathwayNotes Messages Tab: Messaging and AI-Assist Guide

The Messages Tab — Messaging Clients and Using AI-Assist

The Messages tab is your direct line to a client — and it's more than a chat window. The AI-Assist tools built into it can save you real time on the things that usually eat into your schedule.

Sending Messages

Type in the message field and press Enter to send. Shift+Command+Enter on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+Enter on Windows adds a new line without sending. Messages are delivered to the client's iPhone immediately.

Draft Reply

Got a message from a client and want a starting point? Tap the sparkle icon and choose Draft Reply. The AI reads the client's message alongside their clinical profile and modality, then suggests a response. It's a draft — take it, edit it, scrap it, whatever makes clinical sense. The point is that you're not starting from a blank page.

Session Summary

After a session, paste your progress notes into Session Summary and the AI structures them into a clean three-part format: what brought the client in, what shifted during the session, and what the focus for the week ahead is. Takes a minute. Saves you from writing the same structure yourself every time.

Proofread

Select Proofread to fix grammar and spelling in anything you've written — without touching your clinical meaning or tone. Useful when you're writing quickly and want one more pass before you send.

Sending Assessments

The clipboard icon next to the message field opens the assessment selector. Choose a form and it lands in the client's message thread on their iPhone as a card they can fill out right there.
