How the Client Profile Is Built and Updated

Every AI interaction in PathwayNotes is shaped by the Client Profile Summary. It starts with Profile Jumpstart: the clinician adds intake notes, session material, or a structured clinical summary, and the AI generates an initial profile summary from that context.

The profile is not static. It updates automatically after weekly summaries run, incorporating new themes from recent journaling. This helps the AI stay oriented to the client’s current patterns instead of relying only on the first intake note.

The quality of the profile depends on the quality of the source material. Specific, clinically relevant notes usually produce more useful prompts, reflections, and session prep. Sparse notes can make the AI feel more generic.

The back-end Client Profile Summary is used by the clinician dashboard and AI. It is not shown to clients inside the iPhone app.
